Hello everyone!

Well… it’s been over a year since my last—and only—blog post. Time really does fly when you’re having fun… or when life gets very, very busy. 😄

A lot has happened in the past year. And yes, I mean a LOT. I’ll do my best to keep this brief…

Was that brief enough?

All jokes aside, let’s start with what matters most.

First and foremost, I am incredibly thankful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who renews my life each and every day—sometimes hourly… or even by the second (I’m not sure that’s a word, but you get the idea). Without Jesus in my life, I honestly don’t know where I would be today. Thank you, Jesus. 🙏

Now for some exciting news!

Faith Based Games is officially a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization! 🎉That means it’s now a recognized, viable non-profit—and every donation is used with purpose and transparency.

So where do donations go? They’re divided into four main areas:

1) The Game

Since Faith Based Games has “games” right in the name, a significant portion of donations goes toward developing The Right Path—including tools, assets, and resources needed to bring the game to life.

2) Site & Business Maintenance

Some funds help maintain the website, business registration, and those unavoidable expenses that tend to “pop up” when running an organization.

3) Gift Boxes

You might be familiar with Samaritan’s Purse and their shoebox ministry—and yes, they do incredible work. However, not all countries allow them to operate freely. In those places, local ministries step in to reach orphanages, teach children about God’s love and what Jesus did for them on the cross, and provide Christmas gift boxes to those kids.

4) Bibles

Last—but absolutely not least—Bibles. This is a very important part of our mission. Many new believers, or people reached through outreach, don’t own a Bible. Providing someone with a free Bible can make a huge difference in their walk with the Lord.

What else has been happening?

We’ve been extremely busy writing the story for The Right Path. Since it’s a story-driven game, there’s still plenty of work ahead—but the foundation is strong.

We’ve also been learning the software needed to create believable characters and immersive world-building. While I won’t tease a release date (no, it’s not “next week” 😂), there is progress being made.

At the time of writing this, Unreal Engine 4 was preparing for a major update, which meant world-building would have to wait a bit. In the meantime, character creation has seen major improvements—and Helkena and her friends are already looking amazing.

There’s a lot to learn, and even more to look forward to.
