This isn’t a story that happened overnight.

The Right Path began as a video game idea more than a decade ago. I spent years building worlds in Unreal Engine, learning the tools, dreaming of immersive gameplay… until the story itself outgrew the format. What started as cutscenes kept expanding into long, emotional, cinematic experiences. I realized I wasn’t making a game anymore — I was writing a series.

So I made the hard pivot.

​

The Right Path, will, prayerfully, be a 2 season, 48-episode, soon to be a streaming series, the screenplay is fully written (it just needs some final proofreading love in the almost 3,000 pages!). The world, the characters, the choices, the heartbreak, and the hope — it’s all there. But bringing it to life visually has been the real journey.

​

For a long time I kept pushing with Unreal Engine. I built The Pines Mall. I learned lighting, animation, world-building. But the deeper I went, the clearer it became: my vision for this story — a rich, 20+ hour cinematic experience with real emotional weight and complex environments — was going to be extremely difficult (and incredibly time-consuming) to achieve in traditional 3D work-flows.

Then I saw one AI-generated video.

​

In it, a father walked into his little daughter’s bedroom and sat on the bed... and the bed actually sank under his weight. That tiny, realistic detail stopped me cold. It was the kind of living, breathing moment that would take enormous effort in traditional tools — but AI captured it naturally.

​

That was the moment everything changed.

​

I’m now fully leaning into AI video as the primary way forward. Yes, it has limitations today. But what I’ve already achieved in just a few hours with tools like Grok convinced me: this technology is advancing fast, and it’s the right path for the scale and heart of The Right Path.

​

This is a long journey — from bedroom game developer to cinematic storyteller — and we’re still very much in the middle of it. But every step, every challenge, and every late-night “THIS & THAT!” moment has been worth it.

Because this story deserves to be told the right way.
